Silly Business Indeed

A Phil and Teds Explorer is a baby stroller, babies grow into small people, and a small American person – male – has just got into a whole load of controversy for dressing up as Daphne from popular awesome children’s cartoon/movie Scooby Doo. How much controversy, exactly? Let’s just say that it’s been on BBC News this morning, and they’ve been discussing it for a while.

Mr Pen Abuser Story

Maybe it’s just me: sometimes you’ll see something that triggers you and it’ll send you off on one, and there is no escape, and no way to avoid following the path of DOOM. For me, this happens very often on the train. Probably because it’s one of the few places where people from all walks of life are thrown within inches of each other and forced to make do (the last time it happened was because a woman was cursing her hr management software and she went a bit too far, actually smashing her heel into it and needlessly destroying it for no real reason).

This time I was annoyed because the man in front of me, the uptight-journalist-in-a-rush-to-get-the-next-big-scoop type, was moaning to himself about his pen. Scribbling and nothing would come out of it. Basically cursing his pen because it wouldn’t work, and it should have known better than to cross him on this very important day. And I do mean REALLY GETTING IN A STRESS. Everyone was a bit scared of the way he stared at that poor pen. Eventually he was so annoyed that he threw the stubborn pen to the ground and smashed it to pieces, shouting “there, take that and party!”. He was then pleased with himself, because he had achieved destruction and got one over on his thirty pence cheap biro pen, I suppose. The caveman.

I felt like grabbing him and saying, “Don’t have a go at him, my friend! I can see he’s served you well, and I wonder how frustrating it’d be if you had to carry around a small pot of ink and a quill pen with you when you go to do your reporting!” Obviously I didn’t, as this pen thing had nothing to do with me, but still. He was being a bit of a fool and the way that pen was treated was the way no pen should be treated, dried up and refusing to work or not!

Equality for Animals: Cat gets Dumped

Why any person in their right mind would put a cat in a wheelie bin is beyond me. I don’t condone the dumping of pets into bins of any description; however, the national uproar surrounding a woman binning a cat has caused me to question a few things.

It would appear that everyday ill treatment of animals is mostly overlooked, but the moment a cat is disrespected everyone goes a little bit nuts. I’m not trying to sound like (more…)

Design Really Matters

Sometimes we spend so much time thinking about the complicated things that we forget to think about the really simple things…things which can make or break a business and which can mean the difference between a company just swimming and doing an amazing front crawl (rather than a lame doggy-paddle). LG steam machine

The kitchen is the heart of the house (well technically it is a furnace run off of some great boiler juice but the kitchen is the emotional heart of a house), a flurry of activity takes place in this room alone, be it cooking, cleaning and entertaining. Many machines are required in day-to-day activities in the kitchen, they use lots of energy as they all work hard. Social Networking is big business these days. Just about anyone who is anyone can be found on Facebook, Bebo, My Space or somewhere similar. You can chat to one another, share your photographs or arrange a party; it’s no wonder why these sites are so popular amongst modern teenagers.
