At school I was never really a huge sci-fi fan. Actually, let’s be honest, it did my head in (although I do admit that I have since come to my senses and love Star Wars) and I avoided it at any available opportunity. There’s an awful lot of pressure to be good these days. There’s pressure to maintain a good weight, pressure to have lots of friends, and even pressure to get back to people’s emails quickly otherwise you might be considered really awful. In fact, whatever aspect of life you analyze, there’s pressure to be good in it. Pressure to fulfill other people’s expectations.
That’s why it’s really good to set aside a day or so every month to just pig out. (more…)

A Phil and Teds Explorer is a baby stroller, babies grow into small people, and a small American person – male – has just got into a whole load of controversy for dressing up as Daphne from popular awesome children’s cartoon/movie Scooby Doo. How much controversy, exactly? Let’s just say that it’s been on BBC News this morning, and they’ve been discussing it for a while.
