It Is Awesome To Be A Geek
We are all used to mention geeks are people who are not generally associated with being cool and being those among us that would make the world a funnier place to be. However, this is all about to change as currently the geeks are the people controlling and mastering over the world – and there are examples to prove it. In a world dominated by digital technology, smartphones and social networks, being a geek does not really sound that bad – these guys are now landing the best jobs out there even during times of recession.
Here are some people that even though being geeks are among the most successful businessmen the world has ever seen:
- Bill Gates – creator of Microsoft (the largest software corporation in the world), one of the richest man ever lived and one of the creators of the modern times. His innovations and technology developments made him the most mentioned geek ever.
- Steve Jobs – creator of Apple – one of the most valued companies in the world. Even though retiring from the leadership position, Jobs remains an inspiring example of how cool a geek can actually be.
- Mark Zuckerberg – the creator of Facebook. From designer jewellery to amazing sport cars, you can all find it on the social network this guy created. Thanks to him, many of us became better people with more opportunities.
So mentioning these people really proves one fact – being a geek is no longer something to be hiding from the others. It is now an advantage. Every company, every business is now going digital and geeks are the people to maintain the peace in the business environment by applying their knowledge and expertise in computing, technologies and so on. So next time you see the guy with the glasses holding a big “Programming: Advanced Level” book, think about these great people that used to be called geeks – aren’t they awesome!
