Reading The Signs
Weather-men and women get a really hard time of it, don’t they? They are the people who get all the blame when it rains instead of snows, even though there is a team of tens of people working behind the scenes to obtain the information that is presented on the screen. I say give these poor people a break, would you! Predicting the weather may have become something we barely give a thought to, but if you research it you will discover that it really is a very difficult thing to accurately do, day in, day out.
And apparently it is getting even harder. With natural disasters seemingly looming around every cloud or corner, even the experts don’t know what to think, but the people over at Enigin have some interesting ideas.
This article raises a few more interesting points.
In fact, while it might seem like all of a sudden the weather has changed dramatically, that is not really the case. Weather has been changing for decades, only the recent influx of natural disasters make it seem as though it has all arrived at once. But the warning signs have been there, most agree. The thing is, we weren’t much bothered about them before, even though the signs were quite big and very powerful.
I think we need to stop worrying about predicting the weather. Honestly, would it be so bad if we didn’t have that information? I mean, people survived long before weather forecasting and newspapers, didn’t they? And who knows, maybe if we did suddenly loose that privilege then we would be forced to develop our senses to do that job for us, just like animals have been doing for thousands of years.
