So, it is not actually a definite thing that washing your hands can stop the spread of swine flu… Well, it certainly isn’t going to have a negative effect, is it?

Even if washing your mitts doesn’t stop swine flu from being passed around then it is not a bad habit to get into. How many other horrible germs and infections are there out there waiting to be caught? Surely, having clean hands is better than having dirty ones. If you don’t stop swine flu from being passed around then you are certainly going to reduce the risk of infecting people with other things instead.

Scientists never cease to amaze me. They are constantly coming up with all sorts of ridiculous statements that, to me, are obvious. It was only a few weeks ago that they had a breakthrough with ‘hygiene in the home’. Apparently, they said, 70 percent of dirt comes from outdoors. And their advice to the general public? Take your shoes off when you go into your home. Wow, these guys never miss a trick, do they? Who would ever have thought that your home would be cleaner if you didn’t walk around in it with your dirty shoes on? Amazing! I wonder how much it cost the country for them to make this huge discovery? The way that money is invested in such stupid areas of research is a bit of a worry to me.

I am pretty confident that washing your hands will reduce the risk of you passing swine flu to other people. Why am I so certain of this? Well, I am a great believer in something called ‘common sense’. I have not had any training in the sciences, but it seems fairly obvious to me that if you wash your hands then you are probably getting rid of at least some germs…

I have thrilling news before I go, I was speaking to my mate last night and he has just got a excellent new post at an hr software company. Well done Charlie
